I never thought of it as it not being in our world… It was more about it not being in our town. I mean, let’s face it, if it were a small brothel in a county in Nevada with under 400,000 people, it could very well have been a true story.

Moreover, a co-op brothel is in the works in Vancouver, British Columbia, because the Olympics are coming there.

However, I think you are right about it never having a chance of being made in today’s Hollywood. Luckily, thanks to the vibrant independent filmmaking industry of today, that doesn’t matter.
